Have you ever thought about adopting an animal before, but didn't want to make the decision based of a picture or a few minutes of play? With fostering, you get to spend as much time as you like with the dog to see if you fall in love. Or if you are a dog lover, and just want a dog to play with, you could foster as well, and get to spend quality time with many of dogs. We encourage teens and tweens over 10 years to foster animals (with their parents approval).

If you want to make a difference in the world, you can foster. You could help strays get a second chance at a happy life. In Puerto Rico, where a lot of our dogs come from, the average euthanasia rate is 94% in shelters.

Fostering dogs/cats could also be a fun way to earn hours for your confirmation, charity work, college application, volunteer or community service hours, etc. This way, you can get hours doing something you love and enjoy.

There are also plenty of puppies/kittens who need foster homes. They are destined to get many diseases and parasites if left in developing countries and territories.
